Where you will find us:

The library is on the ground floor of the museum, 5 Place d’Iéna.

It is located in the entrance hall, on the right, next to the deposit-cloakroom.

Consultation:

• Access to the reading room is free and requires signing the attendance register at the entrance.
• Library documents are consulted in the reading room.
• Consultation is not subject to conditions.
• The precious works of the rare book collection can be consulted by appointment.
• Archives can be consulted by appointment.

Online research:

Prepare your research in the online catalogues: the collective Catalogue of the national museums libraries that lists most of the books, and the University Documentation System that indicates the periodicals.

For several collections not yet retro-converted you must consult the paper catalogue in the room.

Practical information:

The library is open on Mondays, and Wednesdays to Fridays, from 10 AM  to 5 PM.

It is closed on holidays and certain periods of the year.
