Jean-François Jarrige Auditorium

Experience your passion for Asia with films, encounters and performances!

From the very beginning Émile Guimet imagined his museum as a space meant to offer “public lectures”.

Today, the Jean-François Jarrige auditorium sits at the heart of the Musée Guimet cultural and artistic programming. With its 276 seats and a 4K projection system, this superb room offers all year round projections of film cycles, concerts, performances, literary encounters, scientific seminars, and lectures for all audiences.

Dedicated to Asia from yesterday to today, the auditorium offers accompanying events to the museum's temporary exhibitions. It also allows to get acquainted with our permanent collections and stay updated on the present state of research.

Above all, it offers those who love Asian cultures the opportunity to experience their passion, whether it is k-pop, mangas, Indian dance or traditional musics, Japanese prints or Khmer sculpture. Whatever your age or main interest, there will always be something for you at the Musée Guimet auditorium!
